Chateau La Mer II is located approximately 1000 feet from our beach - a short 3 or 4 minute walk. None of our condos have a beach view. 

Chateau La Mer II is a Family Affordable Vacation Rental Resort located in the Crystal Beach Area of Destin Florida on the Emerald Coast of the Gulf of Mexico. Your Beach Vacation is just a short walk to the Sugar White Beaches of North Florida's Emerald Coast, accessed by our own Locked Beach Walk. Yet we are Secluded on Five Landscaped Acres in a cul-de-sac away from the crowd. 

Crystal Beach, the fastest growing area of Destin Florida, is just minutes from the Newest Shopping Centers, Restaurants and the Largest Designer Outlet in the South. Golf and Water Sports Rentals abound. Our Resort has no through traffic and lots of green, making it very Kid Friendly.

Common Questions about Vacation Rental Homes 

Chateau La Mer II is located across a two-lane beach road and about 1000 feet from our beach. It is a short 3 or 4 minute walk. There is a lighted cross-walk and both guests and locals are good at stopping for pedestrians. We are located on approximately 5 acres with plenty of parking and landscaped areas and no through traffic. 

There is a children’s play area with picnic tables and charcoal grills. We can loan you tennis racquets and basketballs with a $5 deposit for each. We also have DVDs in the office for just a $5 deposit. We have an air pump in the clubhouse and an for use during office hours. 

All condos are fully furnished with pots and pans, toasters, coffee makers, blenders and towels and bed linen. We ask that you not use our towels at the pool or beach. 

Free Wi-Fi is available in our clubhouse and on the veranda around the clubhouse. We cannot rent to anyone under 25. 

No pets are allowed. No smoking is allowed in any condo. 

In case of emergency – call 911, give your condo number and stay on the phone. Otherwise you can reach the sheriff at 850-651-7400. For maintenance issues or for lock-outs the number is in the window by the office door.


Terms and Conditions


We ask that our guests as well as owners comply with all rules and regulations. 

Occupancy ratings are determined by Florida State Fire Codes and the Florida Department of Business Regulation, Hotels and Restaurants. Violators are subject to eviction. 

Maximum Guests per Unit: 1 Bedroom - 4 Guests & 2 Bedroom - 6 Guests. We cannot rent to vacationing students or young adults under 25 who are unaccompanied by parents. 

We require a credit card (Visa, Master Card or Discovery) to make a reservation. You will be charged $300 which will be applied to your rental fee. By providing us with your credit card, you are authorizing us to use the card for future payments/expenses. 30 days prior to your arrival date the balance of your reservation will be charged. 

If you cancel more than 30 days prior to your arrival date you will lose the $300 prepayment. If you cancel within the the 30 days prior to your arrival you will lose the full rental amount which has been charged less the cleaning fee. 

You may change your rental dates at no cost in most cases - contact the office for details. No Refunds for Bad Weather. We reserve the right to change rates and assigned units. 

NO PETS ARE ALLOWED! If we find a pet in your condo, you must kennel it or evacuate the condo - no refunds. 

ALL CONDOS ARE NO-SMOKING An additional cleaning fee of $250 will be charged for the following: Smoking in the unit. 

Overnight guests in excess of the maximum guests per unit. Management reserves the right to charge guests for any damages or late check-out. 

Check in time is after 4:00 PM and check out is before 10:00 AM STRICTLY ENFORCED. Due to security reasons, software and or files may not be downloaded by guests on any in-home computer.
